The goal is to provide medicines at affordable rates to all.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In reference, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said the government will launch a campaign to eliminate <a href=\"https:\/\/gomedii.com\/blogs\/english\/health-care\/tuberculosis-important-facts-symptoms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tuberculosis<\/a> (TB) by 2025.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the allocation of Rs 69,000 crore to the healthcare sector, <em>Rs 6,400 crore<\/em> will be allocated to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pmjay.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>Ayushman Bharat<\/strong><\/em><\/a>. The health sector budget allocation saw an increment of Rs. 6,341 crores; which was Rs. 62,659.12 crores last year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She also added the budget suggests attaching a medical college to a district hospital in Public-private partnership (PPP) as there is a shortage of qualified medical doctors; both general practitioners and specialists.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nutrition Sector Budget 2020<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Nutrition Sector allocated with Rs. 35,600 crores for nutrition-related programmes in 2020-21. The budget for the National Nutrition Mission or <a href=\"http:\/\/poshanabhiyaan.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>POSHAN Abhiyaan<\/strong><\/em><\/a> saw the increment of Rs. 3,400 crore in 2019-20 to Rs. 3,700 in 2020-21. Where the National Nutrition Mission or POSHAN Abhiyaan look at bring down malnutrition rate in India.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The FM announced Rs. 28,600 crores for programs that are specific to women. <em>Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana <\/em>(PMMVY), a program of maternity benefit saw the boost. Where it got increased from Rs. 2,300 crore to Rs. 2,500 crore. The mothers covered under the program can get Rs. 6,000.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Union Budget 2020<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a nation-wide cleanliness campaign started in 2014 with an aim to make India completely Swachh and end open defecation. For FY 2020-2021, Ms. Sitharaman allocated a budget of Rs. 12,300 crores for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Where it was Rs.12,644 crores for the last financial year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The budget allocation has seen a decrease in SBA of\u00a0<em class=\"rupee\">R<em>s.<\/em><\/em> 344 crores compared to last year.
