World Environment Day 2018

We all know about the “World Environment Day” that we used to celebrate since from childhood.

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th June in an effort to raise awareness about protecting the environment. The day has been designed by the United Nations (UN).

Since the World Environment Day began in 1974, it has grown and become a global platform for public outreach which is widely celebrated in over 100 countries.

There are lots of activities that held on this day by people in the Environment to develop new innovative things for the welfare of the people as well as the environment. The environment is a natural thing which we use to live and to do a lot of activities for our own benefit and welfare.

Sometimes, we use the environment and damage it for our welfare apart from only using it we should also save the environment and its resources for future use.

People are more resistant today to save the environment for their future and also for the upcoming young generations. Do you really know that there are lots of problems we have to face when we damage the Environment?

It is very important for we to save the environment in order to focus on the developmental activities in the Country. It is also quite good for us to protect the environment for the betterment of the daily life of the people.

The Theme of the World Environment Day 2018:

People are used to celebrating the World Environment Day to make them aware of the facts as well as effects of the environment on the life of all the people who are dependent on natural environment.

So, for this different countries’ government kept many of the themes for the environment day to make the people know about the effects and causes of the environment and to protect it for the future use.

It is quite important for us to save the natural resources of the environment for the young generation to come up with better ideas for the development of the particular Country.

The theme for the World Environment Day in the year 2018 is “Beat Plastic Pollution.”

Each year different type of themes related to the environment has developed such as for the year 2017 the theme was “Connecting People to Nature – in the city and on the land, from the poles to the equator” and for the year 2016 the theme was “No Tolerance for the Trade which is Illegal.”

How to Celebrate the World Environment Day 2018

World Environment Day is used to celebrate by several people to get them every knowledge about protecting the environmental resources for their future use.

It is also celebrated for making people aware of the effects of the environment based on the activities done on it. Unfortunately, we all know the consequences of a bad environment but still, we cut trees and harm the natural resources.

The Host of World Environment Day has a different global host country, where the official celebrations take place. The main aim of the hosting country is to highlight the environmental challenges it faces and supports the effort to address them. This year’s host is India.

For protecting our environment we can do one thing that we should not use the resources for any unnecessary purpose it will help us to save a lot of resources for the future use.

Let’s talk about India

In India, the government nowadays made many ideas to save a lot of resources by increasing the cost of the diesel, petrol, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for making the people to consume resources for their necessary things and to avoid unnecessary things.

The government has spread many types of environmental related news in the newspaper and many online websites to make the people aware of the environmental facts and their effects on the people.

So, I will also suggest you all that before wasting any natural thing think twice because maybe today it seems that we have a lot of natural resources but if we misuse them then for sure in future we are going to suffer a lot.
