Dr. Atul Mathur is a renowned doctor working out of Delhi as the Executive Director – Interventional Cardiology and Chief of Cath Lab and is also the President of Indian Council for Carotid Interventions as well as Cardiovascular Therapeutics, India.
A pioneer in complex coronary procedures, he also specializes in the field of Endovascular (Carotid Stenting, Aortic, Stent Graft, Peripheral Arterial and Venous Angioplasty) & Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitra Angioplasty) & Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitra Clip, LAAO,BMV, Adult VSD Closure) Interventions.
The first Indian doctor to obtain a US patent for a medical device which is used in performing Carotid Artery Stenting. Established Centre for Excellence at FEHI where since 2005 highly sought after training courses in the field of Coronary Endovascular and Structural Heart Interventions are organised for physician from India & Asia Pacific. Over 200 hundred research publications have been acknowledged by experts nationally as well internationally.
Numerous interventional procedures performed for the first time in the country by him are now established elsewhere. Significant contribution to his present profile starts from his training and work experience at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi and University of Alabana at Birmingham, US.
