According to a study conducted by the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, published in the periodical “PLoS Genetics,” which reveals that fathers may be somewhat responsible for passing genetic risk factors to their daughters, that may trigger for ovarian cancer.

Further, looking at the cancer patterns within families, researchers have found that women had a higher risk of cancer if their paternal grandmothers were afflicted by the same cancer disease.

The study results that women with a mutation on a particular gene found on the X chromosome, known as MAGEC3, appeared to get cancer approximately 6.7 years earlier than they would have without the mutation.

6. Reproductive history:

Women who have had full-term pregnancies, especially before the age of 25 or 26 years, have a lower risk.
