In the most recent news, Supreme courts have revived the Class Action Suit Case under National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). Supreme has allegedly called out the popular noodle brand Maggi for misleading the consumer with false labeling and packages.

The case was revived on Thursday, 03 January 2019 by the supreme court which caused the fresh trouble for the Maggi product of the Nestle brand. Moreover, testing of the Maggi product was conducted which resulted in a problematic ratio of MSG and Lead content which can be harmful.

Lead and MSG(monosodium glutamate) is harmful to health as MSG has been popularly known for its bad property of causing health issues such as obesity and headaches. Moreover, consuming these elements in excessive can also lead to allergies and damage to internal organs as well.

The top court stayed the proceedings against the popular noodle manufacturing brand after the Nestle challenged it. The past case came into the light after consumer affairs ministry filed a complaint against the Maggi and its content to the supreme court in 2015. The case involved pieces of evidence against the Nestle for causing harm to the consumers of India.

Moreover, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has also supported the allegations of the supreme against Nestle and their by-product Maggi regarding misleading and false labeling on the packaging. Moreover, FSSAI has ordered to file an explanatory compliance report as soon as possible.

Maggi has been under clouds of controversies and problems from quite a few years after the ratio of its ingredients turned out to be harmful for consumption. The Supreme Court must be seeking a thorough insight due to the repetition of false practice, the allegations are still under confusion and surprise. Moreover, consumers must hold back with patience before any firm decision or announcement shows up.
