The following tests are usually recommended by the doctors and experts to get done if the individual has any doubt of either suffering or having symptoms of going through diabetes. The main criteria of the diagnosis of diabetes are the fasting plasma glucose which when increasing the level of 126 mg/dL might be a reason for the diagnosis of diabetes. Here are the following tests.

This test does not require any kind of fasting and will give you an average of your sugar level in the past three to four months. It measures blood sugar in relation to oxygen presence and hemoglobin.

A fasting blood sugar level from 100 to 125 mg/dL is considered prediabetes. If it’s 126 mg/dL or higher on two separate tests, you have diabetes.
4) Oral Glucose Tolerance Test:
The oral glucose tolerance test is also given after a fast, however, after a fasting blood sample is collected, another sample is taken with intervals of 2hrs. This is done by advising to take sugary content or syrup.
