On Tuesday, 2 private schools in Noida were shut for a few days. Several people, including family members of the one, tested positive in Delhi have been quarantined. Authorities stepped forward to make prevention efforts- extending the suspension of existing regular and e-visas to nationals of Italy, Iran, South Korea, and Japan who have not yet entered India.

One school in Noida, on the outskirts of Delhi, said it would remain shut from March 4 to March 6, while another said it would be closed till Saturday. Board exams would not be affected, messages sent by the schools to the parents said.

Union health minister- Dr. Harsh Vardhan’s say:

The union health minister said, “Total 28 Covid-19 cases in India; 1 in Delhi, 6 in Agra, 16 Italians and Indian driver, 1 in Telangana and 3 in Kerala.”

Dr. Harsh Vardhan said, “6 more cases, relatives of Delhi resident, confirmed positive for Covid-19. Delhi victim was in contact with 68 people.”

The government of Delhi has been asked to ensure that all hospitals must provide high-quality isolation facilities for suspected said Vardhan.

“14 out of 21 Italian nationals have found positive for coronavirus. They have been sent to at Indo-Tibetan Border Police’s (ITBP) quarantine facility in Chhawla.”

Prime Minister- An Extensive Review on Preparedness

To access the level of preparedness- the Prime minister said, “Had an extensive review regarding preparedness on the COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus. Different ministries & states are working together, from screening people arriving in India to providing prompt medical attention.”

In a tweet, PM Modi added, “There is no need to panic. We need to work together, take small yet important measures to ensure self-protection.”
