Xerophthalmia or Night Blindness: The disease is mainly due to the deficiency of Vitamin A which is characterized by blindness due to the poor growth,keratinization and dryness of epithelial tissue or chronic eye infection.

Iron Deficiency Anaemia: The disease is mainly due to the deficiency of iron in the body, which is characterized by a decrease in the red blood cell count or hemoglobin and results in fatigue, dyspnoea, weakness, and paleness.

Goitre: The disease is mainly due to the deficiency of iodine in the body, which is characterized by enlarging of thyroid glands that cause hypothyroidism, poor development and growth of infants in childhood, cretinism and mental retardation.
