How to diagnose?

  • Do you have any other medical conditions?

  • A visual acuity test. This test will tell you how well you see at different distances.


  • A dilated eye exam. The doctor can use drops to widen your pupils and look at the inside of your eyes. He’ll focus on signs of disease, which include damaged or leaking blood vessels, swelling, and fatty deposits inside your retina.
