Scientists have found that reducing physical activity and increasing inactive behavior can have a negative impact on the body and be more dangerous if a relative suffers from type 2 diabetes.
Kelly Bowden Davies from the Liverpool University (United Kingdom) said, “The results of our study emphasize the importance of avoiding low levels of physical activity and inactive lifestyle, such as sitting too much, watching TV, playing computer games, etc.,”.

Davies said,”We know the benefits of exercise, the challenge now is to encourage people to move more and sit less,”.

The study looked at 45 people with an active lifestyle, including 16 who have close relatives with type 2 diabetes.
After 14 days of reduced physical activity, all participators had higher levels of fat and their body was less able to respond to the hormone insulin.
People who are closely related to a type 2 diabetes family member have gained more fat in the blood and on the waist, which is a major risk factor for the disease.
Associates were reassessed 14 days after the resumption of normal activity and researchers found that unfavorable events were reversed. This shows how beneficial physical activity can be and the major role it plays in overcoming the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes is a dangerous disease that lasts a lifetime and is too high in blood sugar. More than 4.6 million people suffer from diabetes and about 90% of them suffer from type 2 diabetes.
Daniel Cuthbertson from the University of Liverpool said,”Our daily physical activity is important to avoid diseases and health complications.” In a group of physically active and healthy who meet the physical activity recommendations, only 14 days of inactivity will result in minor changes.”
