Signs and Symptoms of Diabetes:

Although the symptoms of diabetes can begin early, sometimes it takes a person to recognize its symptoms. This often makes it seem like symptoms and signs of diabetes develop suddenly. Hence it’s important to pay attention to the body.

If a person is experiencing frequent urination the body might be telling him that his/her kidneys are trying to expel excess sugar in the blood. The resulting dehydration can cause extreme thirst.

Lack of available fluids may also give a person itchy skin and dry mouth.

If a person is experiencing an increase in hunger or unexpected body weight loss it could be because his/her body isn’t able to get adequate energy from the food the person is eating.

High blood sugar levels can also affect the blood flow in the body and can cause nerve damage, which makes healing difficult. So having slow-healing sores/cuts is also a sign of diabetes.

Yeast infections are also common among men and women who have diabetes.

Treatment Of Diabetes:

Taking insulin or other diabetes medications is often part of diabetes care. With the choice of healthy foods and physical activity, medications can help you control the disease.

Other treatment options are also available. The medication a person takes depends on his/her type of diabetes and how the medication controls the person’s blood sugar.

Other factors, such as person’s other health problems, the cost of medications and the daily routine, may be involved in the use of diabetes medications.
