Pollution control is the process of eliminating or reducing the release of decomposition (pollutant, usually human-made) into the environment. It is controlled by various environmental organizations that establish levels for the release of pollutants into the water, air, and land. A wide range of systems and devices have been developed to control air, water, and solid wastes.

National Pollution Control Day 2018

 

The National Pollution Control Day is celebrated on 2nd of December every year in India to give the honor and memorialize the thousands of peoples who had lost their lives because of the Bhopal gas calamity. Bhopal gas tragedy happened in the night of 2nd and 3rd December in the year 1984 because of the accidental discharge of the poisonous solution (chemical) known as Methyl Isocyanate (also called MIC), some other chemicals also released from the Union Carbide Chemical Plant situated in the city.

 

 

Objectives of the National Pollution Control Day 2018:

 

Following are some of the main objectives of the National Pollution Control Day 2018 including;

 

  • To spread awareness of controlling and managing industrial disasters.

 

  • To prevent the pollution produced by industries or human oversight.

 

  • To make aware to people and industries of the importance of pollution control acts.

When you breathe in polluted air, pollutants particle penetrate the linings of your bronchial tubes and lungs. People who ate broccoli secrete toxins associated with ozone and particulate matter pollution. This excretion is due to the presence of sulforaphane, an anti-carcinogenic compound contained in broccoli.

 

 

5. Tomatoes

 

You should include lots of fresh tomatoes in your diet, as they have an antioxidant, lycopene, that protects against respiratory illnesses.
